Lucia Villalobos

Lucia Villalobos, 97, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2019 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was born on December 15th, 1921 in Mexico City. She was preceded in death by her sons Jose Luis Jimenez and Hector Jimenez.
Lucia was an active member of Legion of Mary and St. Helena Catholic Church. She was very active in ministering in the Catholic Church as a Eucharist Minister and lecturer. Lucia enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center with her friends, laughing and enjoying life. She also enjoyed being with her grandkids.

She is survived by Maria Scott (Richard) and Graciela Lopez, both of Hobbs, Mario Gonzalez (Casey) of Mesa, Arizona, Virginia De Hoyas (Guillermo) of Puebla, Mexico, one brother; Juan Silva (Margarita) of Mexico City, 34 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Jorge Lopez, Eddie Lopez, Danny Lopez, Ramon Lopez, Esteban Lopez, and Nick Lopez. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home in Hobbs, New Mexico (condolences may be made online at www.chapelofhopefunerals.com)

There will be a luncheon following services at the church.
