Lou Neil Hardin, 83, of Jal, NM, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Lou Neil was born in Hamlin, TX on September 25, 1938 to Herman and Clydise (Edward) Gladden. After graduating from ENMU with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Lou Neil was united in marriage to Larence Hardin on June 10, 1961. Lou Neil retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher at Jal Public Schools where she taught kindergarten and 4th grade.
Lou Neil was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Larence Hardin; parents, Herman and Clydise Gladden; her brother, Donald Gladden; and her sister, Billie Brown.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Whitney Pruett and husband Eldon of Carlsbad, NM, and Paige Ochoa of Decatur, TX; her grandson, Josh Pruett and wife Brittany of Casa Grande, AZ; and her granddaughters, Micah Bignall and her husband Patrick of New Braunfels, TX, Brisa Ochoa of Decatur, TX, and Sela Ochoa of Decatur, TX; her five great-grandsons Cooper Bignall, Kash Pruett, Kalon Pruett, Casen Bignall, and Kolt Pruett; her sister, Pat Woodell of Eunice, NM; her brother, Mike Gladden and his wife Sandy of Ruidoso, NM; and several beloved nieces.
