Louise Owen

L. Virginia McLeod Owen was born on January 27, 1922.  She passed away on May 12, 2024, at 102 years old.  She lived in Lubbock, Texas.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Virginia was a great golfer and finished first in the Pro-Am Dinah Shore golf tournament in Rancho Mirage.  She had a green thumb, could always find a good bargain, traveled extensively, and was artistic. Virginia was a Cofounder of City Transfer and served as the Corporate Secretary for 77 years.

Predeceased by her parents Helen and Ray Mcleod, Siblings: Jean Harper, Margaret Wagner, Lawrence Mcleod.  She was also preceded in death by her son David Owen, grandchildren Joshua Owen and Suzanne Owen. 

She is survived by her son Gregory Owen (Valerie), grandchildren: Ami Rawling (Fred), and Amanda Owen, great-grandchildren: Ashlee Schneider (Keath), Jacob and Brian Rawling, Lylah, Ava, and Sofia Martin, Brody and Piper Owen, and great-great-grandson Ashtin Whatley.
