Louise Flowers

Graveside services for Louise Flowers will be Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Haven Memorial Park officiated by Donald Ray Abston. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 12 noon 7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements.

Louise was born October 7, 1920, in Vernon, Texas, to Burtis and Almester Abston. She died May 2, 2011, at County Cottage in Hobbs. On December 25, 1939, she married C. H. Flowers. She made great biscuits and gravy, and blackeyed peas and she loved crocheting and cross stitching. Louise was a great motherinlaw and loved her grandchildren and family.

Surviving her are two sons, Burt Flowers and wife Kathy of Hobbs and Ray Flowers and wife Shirley of Hobbs daughterinlaw, Judy Flowers of Hobbs her sister, Wanda Ruth Derr and husband Walker of Tyler, Texas seven grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren and 8 greatgreatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. H. Flowers, Sr., August 29, 2009, and son Clurry Flowers, Jr., April 1, 2005.
