Lorraine Maixner

A memorial service for Lorraine Maixer of Hobbs, NM., will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Steve Chappell officiating.

Mrs. Maixner, 86, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Covenant Speciality Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Beatrice, Neb. She married Robert Maixner in 1941 in Concordia, Kan.

Lorraine was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed dancing, bridge and loved to travel.

Survivors include her son, Bob Maixner of Henderson, Nev.; her companion and dear friend, Douglas Lee of Hobbs, NM.; a niece, Nancy Axtell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a nephew, Keith Maxiner of San Antonio, Texas; two great-nieces, Katie and Rebecca; a brother-in-law; Calvin Axtell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and two sisters-in-law, Luella Maixner of Austin, Texas, and Mildred Nieneber of Kearney, Neb.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Mary Ann Axtell.
