Lizzie Priess

A funeral service for Lizzie Marie Priess of Hobbs will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Pastor Jotty Kinney will officiate. Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 5 p.m., Monday from 8 a.m. 6 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope, which is in charge of arrangements.

Priess, 83, died February 11, 2010, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1926, in Mason, Texas. She married Robert J. Priess on January 1, 1944, in Mason, Texas.

She had been employed with GTE for 35 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and shopping at garage sales.

She was a member of Christian Center Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Priess of Hobbs one grandson, Kevin Ousley of Hobbs two granddaughters, Kim Lara of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kay Willett of Lovington, New Mexico several greatgrandchildren and two special friends, Janice Stewart of Hobbs and Murrell Cates of Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Priess, and daughter Patricia Priess.
