Lisa Romine

Lisa Gayle “Emmy” Romine, 63, of Hobbs, NM died in her home on January 29, 2023.

Born on September 19, 1959, she was a lifelong resident of Hobbs, NM. Lisa taught elementary school for 35 years, most of which were at Sanger Elementary. She loved teaching and held each of her students in a special place in her heart. She was a long-time member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church and a proud member of the Lambda chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 36 years, Kerry Romine. Her children, Ashley Mason of Artesia, NM, spouse Clay, Scott Romine of Dallas, TX, spouse Samantha, and “favorite” daughter Meagan Campos of Hobbs, NM.

She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren – Charidy, Jackie, Jaxen, Rylie, Hunter, Kylee, Kerri Ellen, Abigail, Oliver, and baby Romine. She had many family members in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Byerly, and mother, Lula Mae Byerly, both of Hobbs, NM. Her brother Franklin Byerly of Hobbs, NM and her sister, Oneta Mullis of Peoria, AZ.

She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her and her impact on our lives will not be forgotten.
