Lillian Brister

Louise Brister, 91, passed from this life November 29, 2011, at her home in Hobbs, NM. She was born July 31, 1920, in Caddo, Oklahoma, to Fount and Ida McMennamy. She married Loyd Brister, Sr. December 21, 1937, in Durant, OK.

Funeral services for Louise will be Saturday, December 3, 2011, 10:00 a.m. officiated by Brother Devin Birdsong at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow after services at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2011, 10:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope with the family in attendance from 6 8 p.m. Louise was of the Holiness faith. Sewing and gardening were some of her favorite things to do. She was a great mother and she had lots of friends.

Surviving Louise is her son Loyd Brister, Jr. of Hobbs three daughters, Joyce Hammon and husband Melvin, of Pampa TX, JoAnn Tallant, and husband Melvin, of Winthrop, AR, and Glenda Cox, and husband Amos, of Hobbs, NM and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd, Sr. daughterinlaw, Kitty Brister son, Leroy Brister daughter, Brenda Brooker brother, Fount McMennamy, Jr. and two sisters, Thelma Casey and Christine Smith.
