Leopoldo Martinez

On the morning of February 27, 2019, Leo (Polo) Martinez of Hobbs, NM went home to be with the Lord. Leo (Polo) was born to Lucrecia Prieto and Leopoldo Martinez Sr. in September 25, 1960. He is a 1979 Hobbs High graduate. He also worked in the oilfield most of his life (Banta, Texaco, Chevron, Chesapeake and 3S services). On October 21, 2006 he married Janet Flores and together raised 4 children Carlos Flores, Elicseo Quezada, Stephanie Romero and Teresa Romero.

Leo (Polo) was a Lowrider in his younger years. He was known for his red Monte Carlo, big friendly smile and positive attitude. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa. His passion was supporting the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his grandbabies,
he had a love for food and enjoyed dining out with friends and family.

Leo (polo) was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by his wife Janet Martinez, (children) Jeremy Martinez, Leo Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Stephanie Romero, Teresa Romero, Eliseo Quezada, and Carlos Flores. (siblings) George and Rosa Martinez, Steve and Rosa Martinez, Sally and Greg Trujillo, Efrain and Mel Martinez, Lucrecia and Oscar Carmona, seven grandbabies; Aubrey Rivera, Mia Quezada, Genesis Flores, Zadie Romero, Romeo Flores, Janet Romero and Irenaeus Martinez, many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
