Lawania Fae Wittman passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was born January 19,1940 in Arnett, Oklahoma, to parents Recil and Elmina (Raff) Dobbs. She married the love of her life, Virgil Wittman January 1, 1960, in Tulare, California. They spent 51 blessed years together. To this blessed union four children were born, Monty, Debbie Linn, Angela, and Darren.
Lawania was a faithful member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She had a great love and desire to serve God. Lawania was a wonderful example of a virtuous woman and servant of God. She had many gifts. Singing for the Lord was one of her best. Lawania spent her life working for the Lord, homemaker, quilting, yard work, and painting. The family knew every Tuesday morning was Weight Watchers, where she worked as a clerk many years.
Lawania is survived by her children, Monty and wife JoAnn Wittman of Hobbs, Angela and husband Ronnie Sutton of Hobbs, Darren Wittman of Post, Texas, daughter-in-law Roxanne Coker of Hobbs, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Debbie Linn Wittman, a grandson, Dakota Dewayne Sutton and great-grandson, Maverick James Wittman.
