Laura B. Colvin, 53, of Hobbs, NM, passed from this life Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at her home in Hobbs, NM. She was born May 24, 1960, in Norman, OK. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral HoPrivate memorial services for Laura B. Colvin, 53, of Hobbs, NM, will be held at a later date. She was born May 24, 1960 in Norman, OK, to Russell and Doris Clements. Laura married Darrell Colvin on December 2, 1995, in Seminole, TX. She died at her residence in Hobbs, on July 9, 2013.

She enjoyed poetry, playing the piano, singing and reading novels. Laura was a gifted artist. She also had a collection of dolphins. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and was a championship bowler. Laura loved her family very much.

She is survived by two sons, John D. Lott of Pep, NM and Christopher Hughes of Austin, TX a daughter, Daphne Underwood of Hobbs, NM one granddaughter Paige Underwood of Hobbs a host son, Michel Lehmensiek of Berlin, Germany three stepsons, Scott Colvin of CO, Donald Colvin of NM, and Richard Colvin of Hobbs two brothers, Ray Ike Knight of Ft. Worth, TX Mark Loveday of Buffalo Gap, TX one sister, Margie Ford of Silver City, NM.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Colvin, who died December 3, 2012.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
