Larry Davis

Funeral services for Larry Davis of Hobbs, N.M., will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Taylor Street Church of Christ with D.A. Cochran offishy;ciating. Burial will be 5 p.m. CDT at Olten Cemetery in Olten, Texas.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis, 49, died March 31, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born May 1, 1958, in Olten, Texas. He married Kathy Rogers on April 28, 1978, in Plainview, Texas.

Larry had been employed with Plains Marketing for 27 years. While being employed at Plains, he drove an 18 wheeler oil truck. Larry loved movies, cats and traveling. He collected miniature trains. Larry loved his wife, family and especially his nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Davis of the home; his parents, Thomas and Barbra Davis of Hart, Texas; three brothers, Jerry Davis of Hart, Texas, Kenneth Davis of Denver City, Texas, and Doyle Davis of Hart, Texas; two sisshy;ters, Martha Ross of Olten, Texas, and Patsy Stewart of Brackettville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Home of Lubbock, 4404 Idalou Hwy, Lubbock, TX 79403.
