Kimberly (Jernigan) Good

Kimberly Ann (Jernigan) Good, 69, of Hobbs, NM, passed away on Wednesday October 18^th, 2023 after months of battling complications from a stroke.  Kim is the daughter of the late M.T. “Zeke” and Barbara Jernigan.  Born in Liberal, KS, she moved with her family and grew up in Hobbs with her siblings and large extended family.  Later for her high school years she moved to Arizona and attended the Judson School.  In 2007, Kim moved back to Hobbs.  She was a long-time member of St. Helena’s Catholic Church and loved volunteering there.  Kim was a huge animal lover, especially her beloved babies (dogs) Gertie and Dot-Dot, and donated her extra resources to the ASPCA and other rescue charities.

            Kim is survived by her sister Kelly Jernigan, sister Julie Street and husband Steve, brother Ty Jernigan, nieces and nephews Kara Strong and husband Travis, Taylor Prather and wife Peyton, Colin Jernigan, and Carys Jernigan, her aunt Bonnie Moran and numerous cousins.  She is preceded in death by her son, Sean Patrick; parents, Zeke and Barbara Jernigan, and brother Marty Jernigan.

            Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved oldest sister Kim.  Her big heart has left us too soon, but we are comforted that she is no longer suffering and gets to rest in peace now with our Heavenly Father.  We will always carry her in our hearts and will remember her warmth and love she shared with us.

            In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Helena’s Catholic Church.
