Funeral services for Kim McAdams of Hobbs, N.M., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Snyder. Pastor Brad Reimers will officiate.
Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday with the family in attendance from 5-7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mrs. McAdams, 42, died Nov. 28, 2007 at her home in Hobbs, NM. She was born Feb. 4, 1965, in Hobbs, N.M. She married David McAdams on Nov. 3, 1989, in Seminole, Texas.
Kim was very involved in the USSSA. She served as presishy;dent and secretary-treasurer for 10 years. She was very active with all the sports her son, Christopher, enjoyed. Kim had been a member of the Leavell Insurance family for 20 years. She enjoyed and loved all animals. Kim's greatshy;est joy in life was her family and friends.
She was a member of Junior Service League. Kim's family was notified on Thursday that she will be inducted into the USSSA National Hall of Fame as the first woman president.
She was a member of Vista Pointe Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husshy;band, David McAdams of the home; her mother, Marilyn Dyer of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Christopher McAdams of the home; two brothers, Kelley Dyer and wife Dawn of Hobbs, N.M., and Ricky Dyer arid wife Janey of Midland, TX; a niece, Maranda Dyer of Hobbs, N.M.; a nephew, Brent Dyer and wife Christi of Houston; her mothshy;er-in-law, Pauline McAdams of Hobbs, N.M.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Joe Dyer, on July 22, 2007.
