Kelly Dobbs

Kelly Dobbs, age 60, entered into rest January 31, 2019. He was born September 24, 1958 in Portland, Oregon to Joye and Patti Dobbs. He moved to Hobbs, NM in 1960 as a toddler with his parents where he spent all of his childhood and adult life. In July of 1975 he was baptized into The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by his father Joye Dobbs and also met Becky Sue Garnett whom he would later marry August 12, 1977. Together, they brought 2 daughters into this life; Rachel Jean and Melissa Lyn Dobbs and over time watched their family grow with the addition of 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Kelly loved to visit on God's Word, spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and brethren. He enjoyed making arrowheads in the art of flintknapping, knives and most recently genealogy tracing his family roots far back for his loved ones to remember in years to come. He was very dedicated in all aspects of his life and held himself to a very high standard in serving God, loving his family and in his professional occupations.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rex and Mina Dobbs; parents, Joye and Patti Dobbs; brother, Paul Dobbs, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Corky LeMons, sisters-in-law Debbie Dobbs and RaJeana Dobbs, and infant grandson, Landon David Gilcrease. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Becky Sue (Garnett)Dobbs; two daughters, Rachel Jean Dobbs and Melissa Lyn (Dobbs)Gilcrease; son-in-law, Jon Gilcrease; 5 grandchildren, Nathan Alan Hansen, Nikki Jean Hansen, Ethan Lesley Gilcrease, Megan Lyn Gilcrease, and Neena Sue Hansen.
His supportive brothers, Danny Dobbs and wife Cindy, Rick Dobbs, and Robert Dobbs. Along with nieces, nephews, cousins and all of his loving family members and brethren.
