Funeral services for Julius Morro of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, and the family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.
Mr. Morro, 44, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Hobbs, N.M.
He was born Aug. 30, 1963, in Portales, N.M. Julius graduated from Hobbs High School in 1981. That same summer, at the age of 17, he entered the Air Force., where he was a missile maintenance specialist working on the Titan missiles. This is the job he enjoyed the most. After he exited the service he was employed by Todd Air Craft before moving to New York City where he received a degree in counseling while working as a security guard. Julius decided to return to Hobbs, at which time he worked for Craig Enterprise, Mississippi Potash and Loram Corp.
He is survived by his mother Pauline Morro, of the home; two brothers, Sam Morro of Odessa, Texas, and Gabriel Morro and wife Pat of Portales, N.M.; two sisters, Linda Gough Moos of Nadine and Sylvia Pember and husshy;band Kenneth of Hobbs; a cousin, Ronald Shea of Dallas, Texas; his nephews, Jeremy Gough, Sammy Joe and Clifton Morro, Dylan Hoerter and Nicholas and Steven Barreraz; his nieces, Susan, Samantha and Kelsey Morro, Nikki Hoerler Perea, Seema Moos and Stephanie and Jessica Barreraz; an uncle; four aunts; and two very special friends, Mandy and Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Morro.
