Funeral services for Julia Gabaldon of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2010, at Victory Center Church.

Pastor Fabian Sena will officiate. Burial will follow after services at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Prayer service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. noon on Thursday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Gabaldon, 32, died March 13, 2010, at Odessa Medical Center in Odessa, Texas. She was born November 11, 1977, in Hobbs.

Julia was a very loving, caring and kindhearted person. She was a fighter with her disease and never gave up hope. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children. She attended Victory Center Church.

Survivors include her parents, Hijinio and Eva Gabaldon of Hobbs one son, Matthew James Wallace of Hobbs one daughter, Destiny Rae Wallace of Hobbs three brothers, Hijinio Gabaldon and wife Rory, Manuel Gabaldon and wife Olga and Samuel Gabaldon, all of Hobbs three sisters, Maria Bosquez of Hobbs, Sophia Hinojos of Hobbs, and Blanco Medrano of Ft. Worth, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Angel Marie and Evangela.
