On Saturday, June 13, 2020, our beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, and sister, Julia Munoz Salcedo of Hobbs was called home to be with her Saviour, Jesus, at the age of 90. Mom was born on July 30, 1929 in Terlingua, Texas to Pedro and Natividad Munoz. She was married to our dad, Jose Salcedo, Sr. until his passing in 1972. Together they raised us in Hereford, TX until moving to Hobbs at the end of 1969.Ms. Julia Munoz Salcedo is survived by her beloved siblings, Rosa Garza, Dora De La Rosa and Juan De La Rosa; her beloved children Lupe Velasquez, Josie Abella and husband, Michael; Joe Salcedo, Jr.; Irene Risedorph and husband, Bob; Anita Thomas and husband, Toliver; Jesse Salcedo; and very special care-giver, Teresa Cordova; her beloved grandchilden include Angela Watkins and husband, Ronnie; Amanda Baker and husband, Jared; Alyssa Parras, Arthur Huerta, Fabian Huerta, Cynthia Quist and her husband, Don, Justyne Day, Timothy Day, Joe Daniel Salcedo, Priscilla Graham and husband, Devin, Austin Salcedo, Nathan Salcedo and wife, Kasey; Esteban Salcedo, Jon Salcedo, and Melissa Garza, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jose Salcedo, Sr.; daughter, Lily Huerta; son-in-law, Lupe Huerta; grandson Manuelito Hernandez; brother, Vicente Munoz, and step-son, Fermin Salcedo. Graveside burial will be at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lin-Mar and Kindred Hospice.
