Juanita Garcia

A funeral Mass for Juanita Garcia of Hobbs will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at St. Helena Catholic Church.

Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez will officiate.

Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rosary will be Friday, June 18, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

There will be private visitation.

Garcia, 75, of Hobbs died June 16, 2010, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1934, in Realitos, Texas.

She married Jesse S. Garcia on September 8, 1951, in San Diego, Texas.

She moved to Hobbs in 1958. She had been employed with the Hobbs Schools as a custodian for 11 years. Juanita enjoyed working with plants.

She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Jesse S. Garcia of Hobbs two sons, Raymond G. Garcia of Austin, Texas, and Jesse S. Garcia, Jr. of Houston, Texas one daughter, Juanita Acosta of Weatherford, Texas one brother Anivar Garcia of Robestown, Texas one grandson Derick Garcia and three granddaughters, Samantha Acosta, Candace Acosta and Tori Garcia.

Juanita was preceded in death by a son, Richard Garcia and nine brothers and sisters.
