Juan Nunez

Juan Sabino Delgado Nunez, 58, was born January 27, 1956 in Juarez, Mexico to Geronimo Nunez and Lucia NunezDelgado. Juan passed away June 3, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Juan married Elisela Nunez on August 26, 1977 in Juarez, Mexico. Mr. Nunez was a heavy equipment operator. He loved to watch boxing and soccer. He was a mans man. He loved everybody dearly. He could get his point across with a simple facial expression, whether one of discipline or of praise. He was a man of pride and integrity, and passed with honor. Last, but not least, Juan was a man of God.

Juan is survived by his wife, Elisela Nunez sons Juan Carlos Nunez, Juan G. Nunez, Sabino Andres Nunez, and Miguel Angel Nunez daughters, Lucia Tarin husband Gabriel Tarin, and Isela Nunez, all of Hobbs mother Lucia NunezDelgado of Mexico brother Geronimo NunezDelgado wife Lucy NunezSerna, of Aurora, Colorado sisters, Zefrina NunezDelgado, Maria NunezDelgado, Magdalena NunezDelgado, all from Juarez, Mexico, and Lourdes BarreraNunez husband Gustavo Barrera Aurora, Colorado granddaughters Gianna N. Tarin, Lianna N. Tarin, and Giselle A. Nunez, all of Hobbs, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mr. Nunez was preceded in death by his father Geronimo Nunez, brother Mauro Nunez, and sister Virginia Nunez.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Hobbs, New Mexico. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park, Hobbs, New Mexico.
