Joyce L. Richard, 67 years old, went home Sunday morning, October 6, 2013, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She spent 49 years spoiling her husband, Ronnie Richard, rotten.
She worked as a book keeper for Dunlaps, and as a dispatcher for the Hobbs Police Dept. She loved to sew anything and everything. For many years she sewed on patches and altered uniforms for the Hobbs, Police, Eunice Police, Lovington Police, Lea county Sheriffs, dept, and URENCO security. She was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband Ronnie M. Richard brother Joe Dial of Hampton, Virginia, daughter Jill Gibbs of Hobbs, Son Jason Richard of Lubbock and daughter in Law Lisa Richard of Lubbock grandsons Jake Richard, Remington White, Stetson Gibbs and Hunter Gibbs.
Visitation is Fri 86 pm. Services are Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm. at Chapel of Hope
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research are appreciated
