Joyce Fenner

Joyce Fenner, 81 of Hobbs, died May 5, 2012, at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born September 10, 1930, in Henderson, TX, to George and Claudia McCord. Joyce became a Hobbsan in early 1952. There will be no services as per Joyces wishes. Cremation has taken place.

She was a member of Hobbs Literary Club, Hobbs Better Garden Club and First United Methodist Church. Joyce was involved in all phases of the Miss New Mexico Scholarship Pageant. She was instrumental in getting the Gold and Silver Patron Program started in the pageant. Joyce owned J. Fenner, Ltd. several years in the late seventies and early eighties. She moved to Dallas for six years where she was a clothing buyer. She earned her real estate license in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and then came back to Hobbs in 1990.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Nancy Puckett, and husband Danny, of Cheyenne, WY stepsons, H. Allen Chip Fenner, and wife Paulette, and John Dixon Fenner, and wife Lisa, all of Albuquerque, NM seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and sister, Billie Jean Baskin.
