A funeral Mass for Josephine Breckon of Hobbs will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010, at St. Helena Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez will officiate.
Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday, November 28, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 4 6 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of Hope.
Breckon, 96, died November 26, 2010, at Lovington Good Samaritan Village. She was born September 29, 1914, in Walsenburg, Colorado. She married Noel Breckon on December 24, 1941, in San Diego, California. He died February 18, 1982.
She lived a long, loving life, dedicated to her church, family and friends. She was a caregiver to many people. She had a great wit and greatly enjoyed cooking for everyone. She was known for her Italian cuisine.
She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.
Survivors include son Steven Breckon and wife Kari of Cyprus, Texas two daughters, Rose Gipson and husband Dean of Pampa, Texas, and Lillian Barr and husband Stan of Lovington seven grandchildren, Shirley Burmaster and husband Brad of Deluth, Georgia, Kimberly Duncan and husband Michael of Midland, Texas, Jimmy
Barr of Ada, Oklahoma, Christina Sackett and husband Charlie of Pampa, Texas, Patrick Gipson of Amarillo, Texas, and Korbyn and Lauren Breckon of Cyprus eight greatgrandchildren, Ashton and Aaron Sackett of Pampa, Brennon and Brittany Barr of Ada, Dylan and Devon Duncan of Midland, Brook Burmaster of Miami, Florida, and Bailey Burmaster of Duluth.
