JB Moore was born Sept. 9, 1924. He died Sunday, Oct. 15, at Lea Regional Medical Center.
He served in the Army Air Force in World War II from 1941-1946. He was a member of the Army Air Force Band.
Mr. Moore was a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of St. Helena Catholic Church. He lived in Lovington from 1969-1989, moving to Hobbs in 1989. He was employed by Amoco Pipe Line for 55 years until he retired in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Moore; his mother, Georgia Etta Hinsley Moore; his father, Joseph Hunter Moore; and his sister, Sister Mary Humbeline Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Billie C. Moore; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Erwin Teltschik of Sugar Land, Texas; a son, Joseph B. Moore of Alvin, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tony Ramsey of Casper, Wyo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Daniel Pate of Pearl River, La.; his grandchildren, Greg Teltschik of Reston, Va., Melissa and Matt Bowman of Houston, Texas, Derek and Lana Ramsey of Casper, Wyo., Jeremy and Kylie Ramsey of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Sarah Ramsey of Casper, Wyo., Seth Ramsey of Casper, Wyo., Amber and Chris Troslair of Pearl River, La., Adam and Amanda Pate of Ponchatoula, La., and Valerie Ein of Pennsylvania; and his greatshy;grandchildren, Kaitlin and Jackson Bowman, Austin Williams, Caitlin Trosclair, Andre Pate, Erin and Elise Ramsey and Austin Ein.
