Jos Maria Longoria, 88, of Hobbs, entered into eternal rest on November 25, 2012. He was born November 30, 1923, in Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico, to Jos Longoria and Maria Castro Longoria.
A funeral mass will be held 2:00 p.m. November 28, 2012, at St. Helena Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez presiding. A rosary service will be 6:00 p.m. November 27 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Visitation will be 8 a.m. 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Hope and also 8:00 a.m. 12 noon on Wednesday.
Jos retired from Ruthco, Inc. after 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with grandchildren. Jos enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving him is his wife of 59 years, Mercedes, F. Longoria 3 sons, Frank Villegas, and wife Ramona, Salvador Villegas, and wife Ruby, Joel Longoria, and wife Melanie 6 daughters, Anita Arrerondo, and husband Roy, Sue Rios, and husband Lupe, Lucilla Lopez, and husband Raul, Joann Arcidez, and husband Casey, Jr., Patricia Parra, and husband Ren, and Priscilla Molina, and husband Jaime 35 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren and 6 greatgreatgrandchildren. Also surviving Jos are his sisters, Amalia Rodriquez, Julieta Elizondo and Odilia Lerma, brother, Javier Longoria and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Longoria his mother, Maria Castro sister, Catalina Gonzalez and brother, Salvador Longoria.
Pallbearers will be Chris Villegas, Isaac Villegas, Casey Arcidez, III, Ezekiel Parra, Jaime Molina, Jr., Justin Villegas, Elias Montoya, Jason Villegas, Jared Villegas, Sammy Joe Ortega, Joshua Parra, Jordian Longoria and Roy Arrerondo, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Frank Villegas, Salvador Villegas, Joel Longoria, Roy Arrerondo, Lupe Rios, Raul Lopez, Casey Arcidez, Jr., Ren Parra and Jaime Molina.
