Johnny Parker

Funeral services for Johnny Morris Parker, 58, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Steve Lord officiating. Interment will follow the services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 8:00 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements. Johnny died July 22, 2012, at his residence in Hobbs. He was born July 5, 1954, in Karnes City, TX, to Joe Parker and Dora Rogers.

He moved to Hobbs fifty years ago and started first grade in Hobbs. Johnny married Sheila Ann Bills December 10, 1976, in Hobbs. By trade he was selfemployed and owned Plaster Johns. Johnny was a BIG Cowboy fan. He has gone to games for six years with his family. He was a prankster and he lived for his kids and grandkids. Any time one of his family was playing sports, he was always there to support them.

Surviving Johnny is his wife, Sheila, of Hobbs daughters, Christi D. Parker Smith, and husband Rick, Twilla Thomason, and husband Tiny son Johnathan Noop Parker granddaughters, Harlee Danielle Lester and Jayden Sue Parker and a grandson soontobe, Johnathan Joe a sister, Jean Ables, and husband Billy dad, Sonny Rogers all of Hobbs and many nieces, nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Joe Robert Parker brother, Joe Robert Parker, Jr. sisters, Sande DeMoor and JoAnn Parker and mother, Dora Ann Rogers.
