Johnny Hicks

Johnny H. Hicks, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with cancer. Johnny was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on June 10th, 1959, to Harold (Peanut) and Helen Hicks. Johnny is survived by his mom Helen, sons Richard Hicks of Colorado and Johnny Ray Hicks of Abilene, TX, his granddaughter Melinda Marie Hicks, his sister Kim Savage and brother-in-law Tony, his nephews Justin White of Hobbs and Christopher Collier Phoenix, AZ, nieces KD Hicks and wife Megan Hicks of Colorado, and Kamy Morgan of Hobbs, and his little dog Coco. John loved to fish, and his favorite football team was Oklahoma Sooners, oh how he loved arguing with his brother-in-law Tony about the Texas Longhorns. Johnny followed his dad’s footsteps in the painting business, he and his dad worked together side by side for many many years. He was a paint contractor for Youngs Mobile Home for 3 years before his passing.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Hicks, his dad Harold (Peanut) and sisters Linda Collier and Donna Sue Hicks.
