Johnny Gonzales

Johnny Gonzshy;ales, 58, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at Covenant Medical Ceshy;nter in Lubbshy;ock, Texas. He was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Las Vegas, NM. He married Viola Gonzales on Nov. 18, 1969 in Seminole, Texas.

Johnny Gonzales moved to Hobbs in 1963. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1966. He worked for Texaco for 26 years and for the City of Hobbs since 1996. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1982 and was in the Army National Guard for 12 years. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Viola Gonzales of Hobbs; four daughters; Regina Gonzales and Eddie DeLaPaz of Hobbs, N.M., Legina Gonzales and Julian Young of Hobbs, N.M., Melony Gonzales Leal and Joe Leal of Hobbs, N.M., and Melissa Gonzales of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Steven Gabriel Gonzales of Hobbs, N.M.; three sisters, Victoria Lopez, Loretta Esquibel and Rosalie DeLeon; three brothers, Freddie Gonzales Jr., Michael Gonzales and Paul Gonzales; and 10 grandchilshy;dren; Sydney Gonzales, Coco Griffin, Jaden Miller, Zavier Young, Johnny Angel Young, Brevin Young, Taylor Young, Calee Leal, Andrew DeLaPaz and Avery Rae Gonzales.
