John B. Johnny Rodgers, 91, of Hobbs, passed from this life April 4, 2013, in Hobbs. He was born December 1, 1921, to John and Dora Rodgers, in Paris, TX. Johnny loved to dance and went every Saturday night to Senior Citizens dances. He loved to square dance and watch wrestling. John was an honest man and he was Doras hero.
He is survived by one daughter, Dora Lozano, and husband Mike Lozano, of Hobbs, NM two brothers, Chunk Rodgers of AR, and Joe Ed Williams of Seagraves, TX three sisters Naomi Williams of Midland, TX, Wilma Cathey of Andrews, TX, and Ruth Deere of Lamesa, TX two grandchildren, Michael Lozano of Centennial, CO, and Heather Lozano of Hobbs, NM nine greatgrandchildren, Bruce Lozano of Albuquerque, NM, Rustin Lozano of Albuquerque, NM, Jaggur Lozano of Hobbs, NM, Tiana Lozano of Aurora, CO, Troy Lozano of Hobbs, NM, Harley Lozano of Hobbs, NM, Jared Lozano of Aurora, CO, Kerry Lozano of Hobbs, NM, and Memphis Lozano of Hobbs, NM.
He is preceded in death by wife, Frances Rodgers a son, Larry Bruce Rodgers grandson, Rusty Lozano greatgrandson, Rusty Lynn Lozano two brothers, a baby boy Rodgers and Roy Williams and sisters Angie Williams and Josie Adams.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Andrew Herbert and Pastor Dale Shook assisting. Interment will be at Memory Gardens following services. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Monday April 8, with family in attendance to greet friends from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
