John Bryant

John Franklin Bryant, 88 passed Tuesday Sep 11, 2018 in Hobbs NM. He was born October 1, 1929, in Knox City TX. He later moved to Hobbs NM in 1937 and married Billie Ruth Fullerton July 27, 1948 in Wichita Falls TX. They celebrated 55 Years of marriage.

John served in the Air force and upon discharge he worked in the oilfield with various companies. He took pride in being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and took pride in serving as Chaplin in the Honor Guard. John was a faithful Servant of the Lord and longtime member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ.

Funeral services for John Franklin Bryant of Hobbs will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 15 at Jefferson Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Held 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday September 14 with family in attendance 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

John is survived by two sons Keith and Ronda Bryant of Tuttle, OK and Gerald and Brenda Bryant of Hobbs NM, grandkids: Amy and Bryan DeLong, Scott and Courtney Bryant, Nicki and Chris Searcy, Kami Bryant and Kacee Bryant, four great-grandchildren Hallie, Brexton, Madison, and Kallen, and two surviving sisters; Mary Jane and Don Baugh, and Barbara Martin.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, his parents, one brother, and four sisters.
