Joey William Clements went to be with our Lord September 6, 2021. He was born on June 26, 1950 in Kermit, Texas to James B. Clements Senior and Cloyce (Corbell) Clements. He went on to graduate from Kermit high school in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduation. He served in Vietnam, 1969-1970. He married the love of his life, Juanita Anne (Frie) Clements, February 18, 1970. In July 1970, he was wounded in Cambodia and again in Vietnam. He received two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and a Silver Star for the valor he showed in battle. He returned stateside, in August 1970. He served the remainder of his enlistment in El Paso, Texas, at Fort Bliss. Joey and Anne had two children Tracey Mitchell and Tim Clements. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Juanita Anne (Frie) Clements and a brother Conley Shope of Otto, North Carolina. He is also survived by his children; Tracey (Clements) Mitchell (spouse Marshel Mitchell) and Timothy William Clements. He is survived by the following grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Dustin Mitchell of Eunice, Alexandria Montanez of Austin, Texas, Derrick Montanez (spouse Ashley Montanez) of Sweeny, Texas, Cody Mitchell of Camarillo, California, Ryan Clements (spouse Sayde Clements) of Hobbs, Timothy Clements of Hobbs, Jolee and Jackie Noack of Eunice, Emma and Eli Montanez of Sweeny, Texas, Natalie and Jackson Clements of Hobbs. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Teddy Frie of Wink, Brenda Barron of Kermit, and Willie Broome of Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Wendall Barron, and sister-in-law Vickie Frie.
