Joe was born in Paducah, Texas on the 23rd of July in 1933. He grew up on a cotton farm in Texas. After served his country in the Korean Conflict, he moved to New Mexico and had a successful 45 year career in the oilfield.
Joe married Peggy Jenkins on the 20th of February in 1956. They had two children; Cecil Allan and Debra Lynn. He taught himself to play the 6 string guitar and loved country and western music.
He also LOVED the game of baseball. “I LOVE my Texas Rangers!” All the years he and Peggy were married they enjoyed square dancing and continued the practice until she passed away.
Joe was also a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Effie Rose; his wife, Peggy; daughter, Debra, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He was survived by his son, Allan; grandson, Joey; great niece, Rachel; and nephew Jimmy.
