Joe Parker, Jr.

Services for Joe R. Parker, 58, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Greenlee officiating. Cremation will take place.

Visitation is 2 6 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. until service time Monday at Chapel of Hope. Chapel of Hope is in charge of arrangements.

He died January 23, 2010, at Carlsbad Medical Center. He was born September 28, 1951, in Port Lavaca, Texas.

Joe moved to Hobbs in 1959. He worked for Plaster Johns for 9 years and Sonnys Lath and Plaster Contruction for over 20 years. He enjoyed dominoes and camping.

Survivors include parents, Sonny and Ann Rogers exwife Pat Ferguson sons, Kristopher Parker and wife Jessica, and Joe Robert Parker and wife Jocelyn daughters, Winter Parker, Mandy Summers and husband, Eddie, and Cecilia Ann Parker brother, Johnny Parker and wife Sheila sister, Jean Ables and husband Billy grandchildren, Jephrie, Krisden, Sailor, Lawson, Haley, Shelby, Kylie, Melissa, Ian, Christopher, Brandon and Georgios and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe Robert Parker, Sr., and sister, Sandy deMoore.
