Joe Kinney

Joe W. Kinney, 76, went to be with our Heavenly Father on the 23rd day of November 2015 in Hobbs.

Joe was born November 2, 1939 in Kilbourne, LA to Albert and Essie Mae Kinney.

Joe came to New Mexico in 1960 where he met his beloved wife Charlotte Culbertson in Artesia. They married November 2nd, 1960 in Carlsbad. After several transfers, within the Permian Basin, he moved to Hobbs and started his own business, Joe's Inspection Service in 1973. He retired in 2005 leaving it to his sons for the day to day operations. He enjoyed golfing, hunting in the mountains, and especially horse racing, where he met a lot of dear friends. Joe did business all across the Permian Basin where he made many friends and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte, his sons, Tommy, Alan (Karen), and Joe L., grandsons; T.J. of Hobbs, Bruce (Sarah) Haughton, La., Lance (Stefani)of Lovington, and Landon Kinney of Dallas, eleven great-grandchildren and sister, Sylvia Canada and sister-in-law, Lela Mae Kinney of Oak Grove, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy and sister Patti.
