Joe Dyer

Mr. Joe Dyer, 74, died July 22, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born Nov. 12, 1932 in Bokchito, Okla. He married Marilyn Dyer on Nov. 13, 1956, in Lovington, N.M.

Joe was employed with McVay Drilling for 52 years where he served as drilling superintendent. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and people, but especially loved his family and grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Dyer of the home; two sons, Ricky Dyer and wife Janey of Midland, Texas, and Kelly dyer and wife Dawn of Hobbs, N.M.; a daughter, Kim McAdams and husband David of Hobbs, N.M.; two brothers, Marx Dyer and wife Deanna of Hobbs, N.M., and Barry Dyer and wife Beverly of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren, Christopher McAdams of Hobbs, N.M., Miranda Dyer of Hobbs, N.M., and Brent Dyer of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nettie Dyer.
