Joe Brown

June 29, 1944 — April 3, 2010

A celebration of life will be held for Joe Lynn Brown of Hobbs April 7, 2010, 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Born June 29, 1944, Lynn was a lifelong resident of Hobbs except for a few excursions chasing his young children around New Mexico in the 70s.

A loving father and a definite freespirit, Lynn enjoyed collecting anything old, oilfield, aeronautical, and cowboy and Indian in nature.

He is survived and missed by: brother Harold and sister Doranne Sims of Hobbs his three sons, Charles of Broomfield, Colorado, Chris of Arch, Alaska, and Matthew of Alamogordo, New Mexico their mother, Kathryn Holladay of Santa Fe two beloved grandsons, Spencer and Zane of Boyd, Texas.

Lynns unique character will be sorely missed by all his family and friends and the patient employees of Albertsons and McDonalds.

Memorial contributions may be made to Texas Tech University, Health Sciences Center, Department of Anatomy, 3601 4th Street STOP 6540, Lubbock, Texas 794306540. Also, memorials may be sent to the Lynn Brown Memorial childrens theater scholarship at the Hobbs Community Playhouse, PO Box 2153, Hobbs, New Mexico 88240.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
