Jimmy Northcutt

Funeral services for Jim Northcutt will be 10:00 a.m. Friday November 30, 2012, at Taylor Street Church of Christ with Minister Doug Crum officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29 at Chapel of Hope with the family greeting friends from 4 6 p.m. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery after services. Jim died November 27, 2012, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born October 8, 1939, in Baird, TX, to Carl and Madlon Northcutt. He married Gaye Howell December 7, 1961, in Abilene, TX. He was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ.

Jim served in the US Navy from 19611964 in the Vietnam War. He was on the USS Tulare. He moved to Hobbs in 1972 and worked for Tuboscope for 17 years and Callaway Safety 21 years. Jim enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting. He was a member of Ocotillo Golf Assoc. and Hobbs Bass Club.

Surviving Jim is his wife, Gaye of the home son Kelly Northcutt, and wife Melinda, of Kingwood, TX daughter, Kim Brown, and husband Kelly, of Hobbs sister, Bobbie Deakins, and husband Al, of Clyde, TX brotherinlaw and sisterinlaw, Bob and Billie Holloway, of Benbrook, TX grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Ort of Lovington, NM, Matthew Brown of Hobbs, Jason Jones of Las Cruces, NM a greatgrandchild, Lukas Ort, of Lovington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jim in death was his father, Carl Northcutt, and his mother and stepfather, Madlon and Lynn Neal.
