Jewel Taylor

Funeral services for Jewel Floy Taylor, 99, of Hobbs, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at the Chapel at Prairie Haven Cemetery officiated by Minister Dennis Atherton. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Jewel died February 27, 2012, at a local nursing home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 1 10:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. 9:45 a.m. at Chapel of Hope. She was born October 25, 1912, in Waco, TX, to George and Frances Miller.
Jewel married Wilbert W. Taylor on a Valentines Day in Durant, OK. She worked as a waitress her whole life. She enjoyed yard work and embroidery. Jewel was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving Jewel is her grandson, Kenneth Taylor, and wife Rita, of Hobbs daughter, Floy Berger of Coleman, TX grandsons, Johnny Mann of Houston, TX, and Lonnie Berger of Coleman, TX granddaughters, Lisa Seed of Hobbs, Sherry Stewart and Glenda Miller both of Coleman, TX numerous greatgrandchildren, greatgreatgrandchildren and greatgreatgreatgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two husbands, John Mann and W. W. Taylor parents two sons, J. C. Mann and James Taylor three grandsons, Mike Mann, Ronnie and Dewayne Berger and soninlaw, Sidney Berger.
