Jesus Ramirez

Jesus "Chuy" Ramirez was born in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico on October 1, 1940, to Carmen Zapata and Manuel Ramirez. Jesus passed away on February 22, 2025, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Although he did not have any biological children, he had many nieces and nephews, who he considered his children. Jesus was preceded in death by his parents Carmen Zapata and Manuel Ramirez.

Jesus worked on ranches all his life. He enjoyed piddling around his ranch and driving his little blue truck around.

Jesus made and kept lifelong friends. What he enjoyed the most was going to his hometown of Coyame, walking around the plaza and chatting with everyone young and old. He often said, "I left Coyame in 1968, but Coyame never left me"

His wish was always to be laid to rest next to his dad. He will be remembered by most as being a good gardener and a great bread maker over an open fire. He is survived by his wife Ramona Romero, 2 Sisters Socorro Lujan and Manuela Herrera, brother-in-law, Manuel Herrera And many nieces and nephews.
