Memorial services for Jerry W. Fagan, 71, of Hobbs, will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Crosswinds Church officiated by Pastor Elio Barrios. Jerry died December 13, 2012, at his home in Hobbs. He was born July 27, 1941, in Hollis, OK, to Thadius and Maudie Fagan.
Jerry was employed by the City of Hobbs Fire Department and retired after 27 years as a captain. He was an avid hunter of all types of game and was also known as a coyote hunter during the winter weather. A man of moral values, he believed his word meant as much as his handshake. He was a kind, loving generous man.
Surviving Jerry is his loving wife of 25 years, Deborah A. Fagan. They were devoted to one another and were rarely apart. Also surviving Jerry are his brothers, Elvin D. Fagan and family of Lexington, OK, and Larry J. Fagan of Waco, TX little sister, Juliana Rodriquez of Las Cruces, NM his daughters, Virginia FaganWalsmith, of Texarkana and her family of Hobbs, Donna S. Fagan, and her family, of Hobbs, Becky Kelly, and her family, of Houston, TX and Yoly Clayton, and her family, of Lovington, NM Goddaughter, Anissa Cunningham, and her family, of Hobbs plus numerous of others that he considered his family and appreciated their love and affection.
