Jeremy Turner

A funeral service for Jeremy James Jermain Turner of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Choose Life Church, 810 W. Marland. Pastor Dean Shropshire will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. 7 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. noon Thursday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope.

Turner died May 15, 2010, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born May 10, 1987, in Hobbs.

Jeremy attended Hobbs High School. He was employed with University of the Southwest as part of the kitchen staff. He wanted to be a chef. Jeremy enjoyed video games, family and friends and especially hanging out with his nephew, Johnny Ray Garcia.

Survivors include parents, James and Brenda Turner of Hobbs three sisters, Christy Garcia and husband, Johnny Garcia of Hobbs, Melody Salazar and husband, Fernando of Hobbs, and Tiffany Padilla and husband, Barney of Midland.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bank of America in Hobbs.
