Jeneva Higgins

Funeral services for Jeneva Ruth Higgins, age 79, will be Saturday, August 28, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be after the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jeneva died August 24, 2010, at her home in Hobbs.

She was born in Quanah, Texas, to Walter and Artie Frost. She married Fred Nicholas Higgins June 8, 1947, in Hereford, Texas. He died February 18, 2008.

Jeneva worked as a filing clerk for Waukesha for eight years here in Hobbs. She sold Avon for many years and was a member of Delta Lambda, Womans Club and Northside Baptist Church. She loved making procelain dolls, quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Higgins of Duncanville, Texas two sons, Gary and wife Debbie of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Dennis and wife Cindy of Bennet, Nebraska twin sister. Juanita Mae Higgins of Hereford, Texas sister Edna Joann Anders of Amarillo, Texas brother James Elmer Frost of Hereford, Texas 6 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Joyce Henson.

Memorial cobntributions may be made to Star Hospice, 1601 N. Turner, Ste. 520, Hobbs, New Mexico, or ones favorite charity.
