Jason worked for Jack Peacock Auctioneers from the age of 14 to 17 then went to work in the oilfield. He was employed by Tyler Well Service, J. W. Gibson and Key Energy, working his way up the ladder becoming an operator.
Jason started trucking in 2002. In 2004, he leased to Banta Oilfield Services, hauling anything from an instruction manual to 22-foot-wide loads.
In 2016, Jason, with his wife by his side, started Thompson Oilfield Hauling Services. He took pride in his work and what he had accomplished.
He married his best friend, Stacy on August 1, 1998. He enjoyed music and dancing, barbecuing with a cold beer, motocross and building rat rods and spending time with friends, he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his father Alvin Thompson, mother Francis Horner, brother Lee Thompson and nephew Robert Russell.
He is survived by his wife Stacy, four children Britney Ely, Jason Thompson Jr. and wife Bobbie Gean, Courtney Miles and boyfriend Sammy Mendoza, Dusty Thompson and fiancé Brittiany Landrum, two sisters Pam White and husband Gary, Stacey Russell and husband Randy, sister-in-law Jotina Tidwell and husband Tony of Colo., four grandchildren Kyler, Micha, Jason III and Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Jason loved his family and they loved him. He will be forever missed.
