Jason Lee Cummings, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend passed
from this life in the comfort of his own home on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Jason
was born on April 15, 1981 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was very accomplished,
even at a young age. Jason was a Boy Scout, avid tennis player, soccer player, and
a champion Galaga player Jason graduated in the Whos Who among high school
students from Hobbs High School in 1999. He went on to attend the Anderson
School of Business Management at the University of New Mexico, graduating
at the top of his class. Jasons scores from the Deviation Intelligent Quotient
were phenomenal. He had an intelligence level comparable to Einstein.
Among Jasons many gifts, he was a composer of soulful music. He played solely by ear
and mastered all instruments that were of interest to him. Jason was a very talented
vocalist and it came effortlessly. If you had the privilege of hearing him play, you
would remember it always. Among his musical accolades were the drums, acoustic
guitar, electric guitar, banjo, xylophone, spoons, and computer synthesizer.
Jason had a green thumb all horticulturists would envy. He was able to develop hybrid
plants that had never been seen before. His computer skills were off the charts.
Jason could write computer programs and design web pages with ease.
For those who knew Jason, he truly was a Blessing from God. His infectious humor
was delightful and unavoidably contagious. Jason was a loyal friend, counselor, mentor
and at the same time, a beautiful enigma. He was very traditional and dignified. Jason
was spiritual on a level that few can comprehend.
Jason was an amazing father and husband. His proudest accomplishments were his
two daughters Willow and Olivia. He made sacrifices for his family with a depth and a
love too vast to ever know. A celebration of Jasons life will be held daily in the hearts
of those who cherish and love him.
His service will be held at the Chapel of Hope, 3321 N. Dal Paso, in Hobbs, New Mexico
on Friday August 15, 2014 at 10 a.m.
