Jamie Denise Douglas

Jamie Denise Douglas was born on January 01, 1960, in Lovington, NM to James H. Corbell and Shirlee L Whitman. She passed away July 18, 2023. She was happily married to her husband Cole Douglas.  She was an E.R. nurse for 20 years and then returned to school at Texas Tech to obtain a nurse practitioners license in which she continued her nursing career for another 15 years.  She enjoyed everything about nursing and being able to help others. She also enjoyed spending time with family and watching her grandchildren grow.  She was a very kind and focused person.  She accomplished many things in this short life but also was very proud of where she came from and who she became. Jamie is survived by her husband Cole A. Douglas of Hobbs, New Mexico, 2 brothers; Randy Corbell of Hobbs, New Mexico and Chris Whitman of Lovington, New Mexico, 1 son; James Todd of Monument, New Mexico, 1 daughter; Brandi Todd of Hobbs, New Mexico, and 3 grandchildren; Audrey K. Marin of Hobbs, New Mexico, David Marin Jr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Marie D. Marin of Hobbs, New Mexico, and 1 fur baby; Sheldon.  She was preceded in death by her parents; James H. Corbell and Shirlee L. Whitman.
