Jami Banta

Funeral services for Jami Arlene Davis Banta will be Friday, May 13, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope officiated by Pastor Steve Lord, Star Hospice Chaplain. Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 8 a.m. 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to service time at Chapel of Hope.

Jami died May 9, 2011, at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born April 3, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas, to Wilber and Rita Yarborough. Jami was a registered nurse for Star Hospice and very dedicated to her nursing career. She treated each patient as if they were family. She married Robert Banta July 2, 2010, at the City Park. Watching movies, spending time with family, and dancing to country music especially with her dad were some of her favorite pastimes.

Surviving Jami are her husband, Robert of Hobbs son, Travis Yarborough of Hobbs father, Wilber Yarborough of Hobbs sister, Karen Lee Williams and husband Jackie of Levelland, TX and best friends, Connie Sharp of Hobbs and Tracy Zamora of Big Spring, TX.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Hawley Yarborough, her sister Shiela Kirk, grandparents, Virgil and Fern Hawley and the McCormicks.
