alignjustifyThis world was blessed with the birth of James Jim B. Sizemore on October 17, 1952. Jim lived a life filled with much love and respect for his family and for his many friends. On Sunday, March 22, 2009, at the age of 56, the Lord called for Jim to return to his home in heaven. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, at 2 p.rn. at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs, with Pastor David Matkins officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Public viewing will be held Wednesday, March 25, at Chapel of Hope from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. with family visitation 4 - 6 p.m. Viewing will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

alignjustifyJim lived in Hobbs for most of his life. Throughout his life, Jim proved there was nothing he couldn't accomplish. In his early years, Jim worked as a radio DJ, car salesman and mechanic. He loved playing the drums with his buddies in a couple of different bands.
alignjustifyOn November 25, 1978, Jim married the love of his life, Brenda Smith, in Hobbs. Together they shared a wonderful marriage and raised a beautiful family. During this time, Jim started his career as a salesman in the oilfield and was still active up until his death. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf.
alignjustifyJim was a kind, caring, patient and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; a daughter, Rachel Sizemore Davis, along with her sons Jaden B. Davis and Jude L. Sizemore, all of Hobbs; a stepson, Richard L. Smith of Coleman, Florida, and his son, Shawn Smith of Arkansas; a sister, Gail Parker Brooker and husband Preston Brooker, both of Hobbs; a niece, Misty Scott and husband Bryan Scott, both of Hobbs; and a nephew, Byron Parker and wife Jennifer, both of Hobbs; his mother-in law, Lucy Smith of Hobbs; and a great-aunt, Inez Seabourn of Post, Texas.
alignjustifyHis father, Billie Burke Sizemore, and his mother, Calvine May Patty Sizemore, preceded Jim in death. His father-in-law, Stanley L. Smith, and his brother-in-law, Glynn Parker, also preceded him in death.
