James Presson

Funeral services for Paul Presson of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.

Dr. Dean Mathis will officiate. Burial will follow services at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Presson, 86, of Hobbs, died June 11, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born September 17, 1923, in Robeline, Louisiana. He married Kathryn White Presson.

Paul was the owner of Presson Auto sales for 30 years in Hobbs. He loves in life included fishing, hunting and, most of all, his family.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Kathryn White Presson two daughters, Marilyn Garrett and husband Rodney of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Paula Whitley of Paradise, Texas three grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren, stepson Gary White of Lovington stepdaughter Carolyn Thompson of Hobbs five step grandchildren and 10 step greatgrandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, G. A. and Allie Presson first wife Winnie Presson two brothers and two sisters and stepdaughter Phyllis Wright.
