James Jim S. Marsh, a resident of Hobbs, N.M. since 1972, was born to Dale Wesley Marsh and Ruth Pauline Marsh Wright on Feb: 24,1948, in Eldon, Iowa. He passed away Saturday; April 28, 2007, peacefully in his home. He was 59 years old.

Jim is survived by his mothshy;er, Ruth Marsh Wright of Hobbs; his sister, Anita Marsh McSorley of Albuquerque; a daughter, Kelly Marsh; a son, Michael Marsh; a granddashy;ughter, Laushy;ren Marsh; and two nepshy;hews, Chrisshy;topher Artshy;hur McSorshy;ley of San Jose, Calif., and Andrew Edward McSorley of Laguna Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Marsh, in 1998.

Jim graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1966 and Eastern New Mexico University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He earned his Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America while living in Santa Fe.

Jim was an active member of the Hobbs community through memberships in many organishy;zations, including the Jaycees in his early years, the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Boy Scouts of America and the Lea County Commission for the Arts.

A memorial service is schedshy;uled for Friday; May 4, 2007, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Snyder in Hobbs, N.M. Pastor Steve Chappell will officiate.

The family has asked you make donations in Jim's memshy;ory to the Boy Scouts of America, the Rotary Club of Hobbs, the Lea County Commission for the Arts or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.

Jim will be missed by all who knew him ..
