James Kirkendall

A visitation for James M. Kirkendall, 71, of Hobbs, will be Monday, March 26, 2012, at Chapel of Hope 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. James died March 21, 2012, at Lea Regional Hospital. He was born July 3, 1940, in Eufaula, OK, to William and Cara Kirkendall.

James moved to Hobbs in 1954. He married Ruby Sullens in Hobbs May 5, 1975. For over 20 years he was a heavy equipment operator for the Gandy Corp. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. James never met a stranger and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving James is his wife, Ruby, of Hobbs seven sons five daughters two sisters and a brother thirty grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a son and a sister.
